Payment solutions for metaphysical & crystal shops

How each solution supports metaphysical & crystal shops

See what each option adds to the way your business takes and tracks payments.

Square for Retail

For metaphysical & crystal shops: Connect gifts, souvenirs and personalized items to a retail catalog, stock tracking and customer purchase history. Square describes Square for Retail as a POS to "sell more and stay stocked with a POS designed for retail." For crystal shops, that means crystals, candles and books, many priced by weight tracked in one catalog with stock synced between the counter and online. Roots Payments, an independent Square Reseller, builds the catalog, configures the plan and hardware, and supports your team after launch. Square's Payment Terms restrict some products in this category, so we confirm your catalog with Square before you apply and keep a non-Square option ready.
  • Import and clean up your catalog of crystals, candles and books, many priced by weight
  • Map your workflow to Square Free, Plus or Premium before you commit
  • Configure barcode labels, scanners, printers and cash drawers

Square Inventory

For metaphysical & crystal shops: Track gifts, souvenirs and personalized items with item-level stock records and replenishment workflows. Crystal shops carry crystals, candles and books, many priced by weight, and small counting errors turn into lost sales or dead stock. Square's inventory tools track stock in real time, print barcode labels and report COGS, sell-through and aging stock. Roots Payments builds the item structure and counting routine so the numbers stay right.
  • Design variants and SKUs so reports roll up correctly
  • Set up vendors, reorder points and purchase orders
  • Label existing stock and run the first full count with you

Square offers Register, Terminal, Handheld, Stand and contactless readers, plus a Register Retail Kit with printers, scanners and a cash drawer. Roots Payments recommends the setup, installs it and tests every device.

Square Online (websites)

For metaphysical & crystal shops: Give customers an online storefront for gifts, souvenirs and personalized items, with ordering and fulfillment choices suited to your business. Square Online gives crystal shops a website with pickup, shipping and local delivery, and Square says in-store sales, online orders and inventory connect automatically. That keeps crystals, candles and books, many priced by weight from overselling across channels. Roots Payments builds the store, product pages and shipping rules. Square's Payment Terms restrict some products in this category, so we confirm your catalog with Square before you apply and keep a non-Square option ready.
  • Build product pages with photos, variants and descriptions
  • Set shipping zones, pickup windows and local delivery radius
  • Connect your domain and basic on-page SEO

Square Gift Cards

For metaphysical & crystal shops: Offer gift cards redeemable toward gifts, souvenirs and personalized items and track purchased and redeemed balances. Square Gift Cards let crystal shops sell physical and digital gift cards that customers redeem in store or online. Gift cards are a top holiday seller and bring new customers through the door. Roots Payments designs the program, loads card stock and sets up reporting. Square's Payment Terms restrict some products in this category, so we confirm your catalog with Square before you apply and keep a non-Square option ready.

Merchant Account

For metaphysical & crystal shops: Arrange a processing account for gifts, souvenirs and personalized items, with checkout methods matched to how customers pay. A dedicated merchant account gives crystal shops their own processing relationship, with interchange-plus or flat pricing and statements we explain line by line. Many small shops start on flat-rate pricing. Roots Payments reviews your statements and quotes before you switch.
  • Review your current statements for hidden fees
  • Quote pricing based on your card mix
  • Set up terminals or connect your POS

Cash Discount Program

For metaphysical & crystal shops: Design a clearly presented cash-price program for gifts, souvenirs and personalized items, with checkout wording and receipts aligned. A cash discount program shows a card price and a lower cash price so customers who pay cash save. Shops with thin margins and lots of card sales see the biggest savings. Roots Payments sets up compliant signage, receipts and pricing.
  • Check your state's rules first
  • Set up pricing, signage and receipts
  • Train staff to explain it

High-Risk Merchant Account

For metaphysical & crystal shops: Present your model for gifts, souvenirs and personalized items to specialist processing partners, with product and fulfillment documentation prepared. Some processors restrict 'occult' products and readings, so shops that offer them need an acquirer that accepts the category. Roots Payments works with acquiring banks that underwrite crystal shops, prepares your application and sets up processing that fits your license and product rules.
