How each solution supports driving schools

See what each option adds to the way your business takes and tracks payments.

Square Appointments

For driving schools: Schedule admissions consultations and tutoring sessions, collect appointment payments and keep staff calendars aligned. Square Appointments is Square's booking software: clients see your availability, book online, and pay online or in person, which fits driving schools that sell time. Students book behind-the-wheel lessons with an instructor, and no-show fees protect vehicle time. Roots builds your service menu, instructor calendars and policies, and connects booking to payments and reporting.
  • Map your lesson packages, classroom courses and road tests into bookable services, packages and classes
  • Set cancellation, deposit and no-show policies that match your enrollment terms
  • Configure instructor calendars, permissions and payroll hand-off

Instructors take cards in the car with a portable reader or Tap to Pay on iPhone. Roots Payments, an independent Square Reseller, helps you choose a plan, configure items and staff access, and train your team.
  • Recommend the right Square plan and devices for how driving schools actually take payments
  • Build the item library for lesson packages, classroom courses and road tests, with taxes, discounts and categories set up correctly
  • Configure team permissions, receipts and reporting, then train staff and volunteers
